Ruaridh and Claire Scott took out a Two Day Trail Ride on the weekend of the 4th and 5th of July and really enjoyed themselves in what can only be described as brilliant weather, maybe a little too hot on the Saturday though. First day was a riding to Ruthven Barracks, Kingussie, south of the A9, via Ralia, Etteridge, Nuide and Ruthven mostly on the line of an old General Wade's road. Second Day was the return, north of the A9, through Pitmain, round Loch Gynack, through Ballochroan and Strone and out by the Green Bothy then home over the shoulder of Creag Dhubh. The horses all enjoyed themselves: Kelpie, Amber, Dolphin, Jodie, Suie and Isabella and so did the clients as well, two sisters and their daughters who were all experienced riders. Thanks to Claire for helping me and as expected you never have any accidents or injuries when you have your own paramedic / ambulance technician on the ride !!
